1. About This App

SoChoo Pathshala is a mathematics learning app for children in Classes 1–6, based on the Indian school curriculum including the Class 6 Ganita Prakash 2025 syllabus. It is developed and published by Anita (@anitaomniq) as an independent developer product.

The app is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. All in-app purchases are intended to be made by adults.

2. Information We Collect

The only data stored locally by the app is:

• Child's first name — entered by the parent during setup, used only to personalise greetings within the app (e.g. "Hello, Aarav!"). Stored locally only.
• Child's class/age — entered during setup to suggest an appropriate starting class. Stored locally only.
• Learning progress — which chapters and puzzles have been completed, and scores achieved. Stored locally on your device only.
• Purchased classes — a local record of which classes have been unlocked. Stored locally on your device only.
• Language preference — Hindi or English. Stored locally on your device only.

All of the above is stored using Android's standard local storage (AsyncStorage) on your device. None of this app profile or learning-progress data is transmitted to our server, cloud, analytics provider, or ad network.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Email addresses or phone numbers
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Photos, camera, or microphone data
• Contacts or calendar information
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Any biometric data

5. In-App Purchases

The app offers optional one-time purchases to unlock individual class content (Classes 2–6, ₹199 each). All payments are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. We do not handle, store, or have access to any payment card information.

Purchases are associated with your Google Play account. To restore a purchase on a new device, use the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.

6. Third-Party Services

SoChoo Pathshala uses no third-party analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry, or similar).

The only third-party interaction is Google Play Billing, which is used solely to process in-app purchases, restore purchases, and keep the purchase associated with your Google Play account. Google Play Billing is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Indian DPDP Act)

We take children's privacy very seriously. SoChoo Pathshala is designed to comply with applicable children's privacy laws including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act).

• We do not knowingly transmit personal information from children under 13 to our servers.
• The minimal information entered during setup (name, class/age) is stored locally on the device and is never transmitted to or processed by us.
• Parents or guardians may delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data from the device.

8. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server, there is no risk of a server-side data breach affecting your child's information. The security of the data depends on your device's own security (screen lock, etc.).

9. Data Deletion

To delete all data associated with SoChoo Pathshala, simply uninstall the app from your device. This permanently removes all locally stored data including name, age, progress, and purchase records.

Note: Deleting the app does not affect your Google Play purchase history. If you reinstall the app, you can restore your purchases using the "Restore Purchases" option.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify users through the app or Play Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
